Emsworth Arts Trail 2024
Thank you to everyone who visited Tuppenny Barn or any of the other venues on the arts trail.
It was a great fair with double the number of visitors and it was a pleasure to chat with so many lovely people.
Emsworth Arts Trail 2024
Emsworth Arts Trail takes place over two weekends 27th and 28th of April and the 3rd, 4th and 5th of May in Emsworth, Hampshire.
This year I will again be joining other artists to exhibit at Tuppenny Barn, just outside the village. https://www.tuppennybarn.co.uk/
Tuppenny Barn Education (TBE) is a UK registered charity, whose purpose is to advance education in horticulture and sustainability in West Sussex, Hampshire and the surrounding areas.
'Tuppenny Barn Organics include a shop, vegetable bag scheme and venue hire for corporate and private use, such as corporate meetings and events, weddings and wakes.'
It is set in beautiful gardens and has a twice weekly market to sell organic produce.
This year there will be 8 artists exhibiting with a range of work from photography, printing, painting, jewellery, wallpaper, textile art and wood work.
You can also enjoy tea or coffee and delicious homemade food in the on site cafe.

The Contemporary Textiles Fair 2024
I will be exhibiting on Stand 28 at the Contemporary Textiles Fair from Friday 15 March to Sunday 17 March. It is held in the beautiful Landmark Arts Centre in Teddington.
There will be lots of textile arts and crafts to see and also workshops, demonstrations and an onsite cafe.
Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

PAPERWORKS 2023
I am delighted to say that I have been awarded Third Place from 515 artist entries in the PAPERWORKS 2023, INTERNATIONAL JURORED COMPETITION b. j. spoke gallery, Huntington, New York. The Juror was Emily Olek the Curatorial Assistant in the Department of Drawings and Prints at the Museum of Modern Art. You can see my work and the other entries online until 31st July 2023

Really enjoyed the day. Amazing what can be achieved in just one hour with the same materials and the creativity of all participants.

The SE Region of the Embroiderers' Guild are holding Stitchfest 2019 on Saturday 13th July.
I will be there again this year with textile supplies and a small selection of my work.
It's a great day out and you can sign up for a variety of workshops.

Emsworth Arts Trail is fast approaching.
This year I will be exhibiting in Deja Vu in the High Street in Emsworth. You can find me upstairs but work will be displayed throughout the shop.
The Arts Trail is open for two weekends, 27 and 28 April and 4, 5 and 6 May.

New Studio

Almost set up in my new studio in the Victory Business Centre in Portsmouth.
It has been a busy time moving from my work place in Emsworth to a new space in the Victory Business Centre.
Thank you Emsworth for the last 3 years. It is a beautiful place and the community have been very supportive.
I will still be keeping a presence above Deja Vu at 46a HIGH STREET, EMSWORTH, HAMPSHIRE, PO10 7AW.

Canford Needlework Festival is an exciting event for all stitching enthusiasts! It features many independent suppliers trading in a wide variety of beading, button and dorset button, dressmaking and soft furnishing, hand and machine embroidery, fabric printing, felting, haberdashery, knitting, lace making, patchwork and quilting, ribbon, smocking, spinning and weaving and textile materials………
as well as all sorts of "can’t live without bits and pieces".
